What is the VentiFlow-mk2?

The ACIN VentiFlow-mk2, with a measuring range of 10 to 100 m3/h (6 to 60 CFM), is the ideal instrument to quickly check and balance delicate domestic ventilation systems. The simple-to-operate device provides measurement results after 5 seconds and can be used straight out of the box with no loose parts. The unique low-resistance rectifier used in the product offers reliable and stable readings on both supply and extract air grids, irrespective of the system resistance and flow pattern. Even supply diffusers with a so-called clean sector and swirl diffusers can be measured with high accuracy.

Why measure ventilation flow rates?

Ventilation is the process of removing stale polluted indoor air and replacing it with fresh air from outside. Ensuring that the ventilation system in a home is working as expected is incredibly important in any building and is included in Part F of the building regulations.

Ensure the system is working

A well-functioning ventilation system is vital to removing air pollutants such as CO₂ and particulates as well as moisture and bacteria.

Commissioning

Requirement F1(2) of the Building Regulations (Section 4 of Part F) stipulates that all fixed mechanical ventilation systems must be commissioned by testing.

Adjustments

When commissioning a system all ventilation supply and extract points should be tested and adjusted to confirm that the system is performing as intended.

Balancing

Continuous ventilation systems should be adjusted and balanced to ensure the designed air flow rates are being met in each room.

Who is the VentiFlow-mk2 designed for?

The VentiFlow-mk2 is ideal for anyone involved in ventilation testing.
