Pulse Air Test receives BRE Environmental Technology Verification
On the 13th June 2019, Build Test Solution’s Pulse technology was officially issued with a ‘Statement of Verification’ under BRE Global’s Environment Technology Verification (ETV) scheme. This provides third party verification of Pulse’s performance claims to ISO 14034:2016, and demonstrates the environmental added-value that this innovative solution can bring to the market.
What is BRE Global ETV?
New product innovations can encounter market barriers when it comes to being accepted in the market. In addition to this, new technology can be hampered by a lack of testing or assessment using recognised industry standards or certification schemes.
This is where ETV from BRE Global comes in. ETV is a flexible, user-friendly process designed to break down the barriers encountered by new products/technology by verifying its benefits and the accuracy of any performance claims made.
Luke Smith, Managing Director of Build Test Solutions comments:
We are very pleased to have received ETV from BRE Global, which recognises our Pulse air permeability measurement technology as a quality innovation. The process has taken over 12 months, with rigorous scrutiny of the technology in use on the BRE Innovation Park as well as in BRE labs but also of our wider business processes and procedures. We will of course continue to uphold the values of this verification through the onward development of the product and accompanying software to ensure that it can deliver on its promises to provide a pioneering approach to fabric air permeability measurement. Our aim now is to ensure that Pulse becomes recognised as an approved testing method for air permeability testing within the next update to Building Regulations (due for consultation in the coming months).
