On the 30th June 2019, the British Standards Institute (BSI) released the long awaited PAS 2035; the new framework for retrofitting dwellings for improved energy efficiency. This new standard is supported by the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and was developed by a Steering Group which included many stakeholders from the Built Environment and Retrofit industry.
On the 13th June 2019, Build Test Solution’s Pulse technology was officially issued with a ‘Statement of Verification’ under BRE Global’s Environment Technology Verification (ETV) scheme. This provides third party verification of Pulse’s performance claims to ISO 14034:2016, and demonstrates the environmental added-value that this innovative solution can bring to the market.
Build Test Solutions are delighted to announce we will be supporting an exciting Ofgem backed ECO3 Demonstration Action project recently awarded to EDF Energy. The project is to carry out an in-depth evaluation of the innovative dynamic air brick solution developed by AirEx with installations being carried out by Bill Save UK.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) are currently running a series of research projects which are known as ‘Annexes’, these Annexes bring together an international group of top researchers on a range of energy-related topics. IEA’s Annex 71 is something of great interest to BTS as it focuses on building energy performance assessment based on in-situ measurements.
